About the Chef

Semaj’s One Way Catering is owned by Chef James Lubin. He was born to two amazing culinarians Louis and Julienne Lubin. At a very young age Chef Lubin burned a good portion of his parents' kitchen and from that point on his mother decided to take him under her wing and teach him a thing or two. He is a Graduate of Hospitality Management at Florida International University. He is also a native of South Florida with many Caribbean influences. He brings over 22 years of food service experience working on South Beach for restaurants like "1220" and "The Terrace". He has also taught in the Miami Dade County Public School System over 16 years as a Chef/Instructor. He is a Certified Food Protection Manager/Instructor. His work has been featured in Magazines like Munaluchi Bride and B COLLECTIVE.  His attention to detail serves an array of guests.

At Semaj’s One Way Catering we not only cater to our clients every need, we ensure that the guest experience is one that is delightfully memorable as well as pleasing to the palate. Let us wow you with Chef Lubin’s breathtaking cuisine, with dishes that range from your everyday picnic items to classical cuisine. No event is too large or small. Let us prepare a romantic evening for two with our personal chef service, a dinner party for six, a graduation party for twenty five or allow our entire team to cater your larger scale events; whatever the number, we will deliver.
